THE HOLIDAY SEASON By: Nancy Arias

When November arrives it always brings the thanksgiving spirit, just as December brings the giving spirit. Think about what this world would be if there were not gratitude for receiving and not desire for giving and be a blessing to others, specially the less fortunate. As we begin celebrating one of the most important holidays of the Christian world, let us enter with the gratitude mind-set for the most precious gift ever giving to humanity: God himself was the Gift and also the Giver. It blows my mind away to think of the magnitude of God’s love for broken people.

As the children rushed outside eager to celebrate their break and freedom from schoolwork; we adults can exit the door of the busy life that keep us occupied most of the time and rush into the freedom of time off to enjoy the company of one another in the bond of peace. Celebrate, yes, celebrate the freedom from oppression of soul and mind, and be free in Christ. Let us set aside our differences, our injuries, and our sadness, and unite with the rest of our fellow men as children of our HEAVENLY FATHER. Let us have one purpose in mind: bringing comfort to the sick and the sorrowful, sunshine to the despondent, a pleasant time to the lonely and the outsider.

Enjoy your Thanksgiving with family and friends,

Nancy
